Details of the June 11 event
Join our executive and fellow colleagues for a fun afternoon of lawn bowling and lunch. This event is family and colleague friendly for a casual entertainment-filled day on the greens. No experience necessary, this is an event for every age. If you can bocce ball, you can lawn bowl.
If you’ve never lawn bowled before, here is a short video to explain how the game works.

Location: Commonwealth Lawn Bowling Club, 11420 139 St NW, Edmonton
12:00pm-12:30pm: Registration
12:00pm-1:30pm: Drift Catering lunch buffet
1:30-4:00pm: Bowling
4:00pm-4:30pm: Prizes
REGISTER HERE by June 1, 2023 at 5pm.
We will have teams of four people bowling (age 8 and over). Please indicate who your fellow teammates are when you register. If you are a solo bowler or partial team when you register, we will find you new colleagues to meet and play together. One person from your team will register all of you. If you have questions, please email jessica.reslan@albertadoctors.org. This event is for a maximum of 25 teams.
Lunch Menu
Braised beef on a bun with fresh rolls, crispy onions, house pickles & condiments
Chicken Skewers with pita bread & tzatziki
Vegetarian Option - Falafel with pita bread & tzatziki
All menu options are served with potato salad, house-made potato crisps, Greek pasta salad & Caesar salad.

**If you would like a vegetarian meal, please indicate this in your registration.
Prizes
Team Spirit- $200 gift card for the Winspear Centre per team member
Best Score- $200 gift card for Ticket Master per team member
Worst Score- $200 gift card for West Edmonton Mall per team member
Tickets
This includes your buffet lunch, one non-alcoholic drink and lawn bowling. Additional alcoholic beverages may be purchased at the bar.
Members: $35
Non-members: $45
Residents: $20
Children age 8-18: $20
Children 7 and under: Free
*Please email jessica.reslan@albertadoctors.org if you are bringing children under 7 with you. They are welcome at the lawn bowling facility but must be fully supervised.
Notes
Please be aware of the shoe rule. No heeled shoes are allowed on the greens. Flat shoes only.
All liquor is to be consumed within the enclosure of the Commonwealth Lawn Bowling Club . No liquor is allowed on the bowling greens.
Free parking is available.
Children under 8 can use nerf bowls to play but must be fully supervised.
Donations
We are working with Youth Empowerment and Support Services (YESS) to support youth in the Edmonton area. We are collecting in kind donations for YESS at our lawn bowling event. Last year YESS provided clothing and goods for 759 youth who accessed programs. Tax receipts can be issued upon request for new items valued at more than $20 with a proof-of-purchase receipt. If you wish to receive a tax receipt, please bring a copy of the purchase receipt with you to the event.
