ADVOCATING: We represent all physicians in Edmonton. We organize to address patient care issues, health system changes and the medical profession. We represent member interests on Alberta Health Services Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules committees related to the medical leadership structure, medical staff appointments, clinical privileges, responsibilities and accountability, periodic reviews, and concerns.
LEARNING: We offer opportunities to our members that support their well-being, medical practice and leadership.
CONNECTING: We gather socially for physicians to build relationships. Fostering relationships with our colleagues builds better medical practice and brings us together as a profession.
The EZMSA offers an opportunity for meaningful engagement for practitioners and a strong unified voice. The EZMSA is the formal voice of advocacy for all practitioners (with and without Alberta Health Services appointments) in the Edmonton Zone.
Members include:
physician practitioners;
medical staff of hospitals, continuing care facilities, PCN and Non-PCN based community clinics;
community-based specialists;
dentists and oral surgeons;
clinical scientists; and
podiatrists.
Our goal is for all medical staff in the zone to join and participate in the activities of the Edmonton Zone Medical Staff Association.
