Is COVID still circulating?

Yes, and it will likely never go away due to its tendency to frequently mutate.

Alberta wastewater surveillance is conducted by Alberta Precision Laboratories’ Provincial Laboratory for Public Health. The dashboard continues to show COVID-19 is circulating in Alberta.

The Alberta government also collects laboratory-confirmed cases by each respiratory season. This is the current data as of December 14, 2024.
