AREA REPRESENTATIVE ELECTIONS

Announcement: New Area Representatives

Thank you to all members who voted for the positions of Area 8 and Area 9 Representatives on the NZMSA Council.

Congratulations to the successful incumbents:

  • Dr. Julia Kuzyk, Area 8 Representative

  • Dr. Marc Shaw, Area 9 Representative

We also welcome the following incumbents to their positions by acclamation:

  • Dr. Leigh Beamish, Area 4 Representative

  • Dr. Gene Vitug, Area 10 Representative

Their 2-year terms on the NZMSA Council will begin on July 1, 2024.

The following Area Representative positions remain vacant: 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7.

Next steps: Elect Executives

Council members will be asked to nominate a candidate for each of the following Executive roles:

  • Vice-President (2-year term). The Vice-President shall succeed the President upon the expiration of the President’s term.

  • Secretary/ Treasurer (2-year term)
