SPIRIT OF ACH - CATHERINE MACNEIL AWARD

This award is presented annually by the ACH MEDICAL STAFF ASSOCIATION to a physician who represents the highest ideals of compassionate patient care, collaboration, and dedication to the ACH community. 

2023 Recipient: Dr. Michael Leaker

An excerpt from Dr. Leaker’s nomination:

“Outside of being a compassionate clinician, Mike has consistently shown exemplary leadership within the ACH physician community in his leadership roles as Section Chief for Hematology/Immunology and Oncology/Transplant, and as Deputy Head of Pediatrics….

He provides valuable mentorship, with an ability to direct mentees into areas of strength, fostering their success. He has been a tireless advocate for ACH physicians, frequently working overtime campaigning for more resources for the department and improved support for physicians. His leadership will be missed as he steps down from his Deputy Head position.”
